This music gets under your skin, every note touches my soul!!! So grateful to have discovered these legends over 50 years ago.

This was my first Dead show. I was in the eighth grade. My baby sitter was shot and killed a few years earlier in the parking lot of a Dead show at the same venue. Bless your heart, Elisabeth. Nicknamed 'Bit' because she was petite. So my parents kept telling me I couldn't go. But then they surprised me with a ticket on Christmas morning and they let me go with my older brother. Thx for posting. I love this recording.

This was my 6th Dead Show..the Spectrum was an Olde rat trap but Jerry and the boys cud make the place lift off to outer space!

My brother and I went to this show at Canada's Wonderland. So many hearses and deadheads in the parking lot. I think we were the only sober one's there. What a trip!

Wow such a nice version!! I discovered the Dead about a year and a half ago and the Straws always touch me but this version goes straight to my top 5. Great vocals and Jerry goes to the core of the song, easy and wonderful. Thanks for sharing, mate! You must have a astonishing collection!!

Kahn’s walking bass line in the second half is like a leisurely stroll in the forest of jazzy blues. This is a killer tune. Jerry’s plays some really funky jazzed out chords too. The club must have been Smokey this night.

Big RR Blues is one of my favorites because Jerry’s guitar and the fast pace!

Wow- that was a BIG ending starting about 3:30 on. That’s why you traveled to these shows - just hoping you get one of THOSE.

The ONLY bad thing about seeing the Dead live way back when (60's-'70's) was you would hear a tune not yet on Vinyl and dont know the words or anything. A coupla times a year you would always hear a few that hadnt been released yet OR heard on a 'trade' Cassett. IThing I remember most (and miss) I remember No hassles ever, not having to lock car doors, show up empty-pocketed and you would STLL have a blast because everything was just about free (or cheap) from other Dead-Heads.

This was a Theme intro to one of the DJs on KJLH LA radio. Back in the early 70s! Always Great music.

I was thinking during the jam how this sounds... different. More 1985 Ibanez Shred than the Calliope Chime.. 💀💨
